ProTrail Power+
the 60-hour field watch
A 40mm field watch, 46mm lug to lug, 12.3mm tall, with a Sellita SW200-2 Power+ stated at 60 hours minimum. Priced like a Seiko diver, so be sure.

The ProTrail is a field watch priced like a luxury diver, and the argument for it lives almost entirely in the movement. Circula’s own page lists a Sellita SW200-2 Power+ at a minimum of 60 hours, typically 65, which is the figure the SW200-1 in the AquaSport II cannot reach.
The case is the sensible size. 40mm across, 46mm lug to lug, 12.3mm with the crystal, on 20mm lugs. Slightly domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating on the inside, and 15 ATM. The canvas strap weighs the whole watch at 85 g. Put it on the steel bracelet and Circula’s own figure is 160 g. That is a different watch on the wrist.
The weak point is what the money does not obviously buy. Circula lists the Grey at US$1,090 with either strap or bracelet, and other sailcloth-strap variants at US$1,290. At that price a Seiko SPB143 offers 70 hours and a 200m Diver’s rating, and I would not call the field-watch dial a fair swap for either. Circula states hacking and manual winding, which suits a watch meant for daily wear.
Who is it for? Someone who wants one watch to wear all week and has already ruled out a diver. If you merely want a field watch, the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical costs about half as much. I think the ProTrail earns a look for the running time and the fit, and not a purchase on faith.
- Circula: ProTrail Power+ Grey product page · Reference PT-SS-GS, case diameter, height, lug to lug, lug width, movement, power reserve, 15 ATM rating, crystal, strap and bracelet options, clasp types, weights (85 g on canvas, 160 g on the full steel bracelet) hacking and manual winding, and the US$1,090 listed price, shown on this page for both the sailcloth strap and the steel bracelet. The Circula listing page also shows US$1,290 for other sailcloth-strap variants (for example pt-ss-gs-sp-ae), which sets the top of the band. We opened the Grey variant only and did not check other colourways. Circula's own page, no dealer price check.
