Atlas notes

Most chronographs under $150 make you choose between a good case and a good crystal. The PD-1644 declines the choice: 316L steel, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a screwed crown and a ceramic bezel engraved with a tachymetric scale, all listed by Pagani Design at $132.99 on every colour and bracelet variant.

It measures 40mm across and 12mm thick, with a 20mm lug width, so any standard strap fits and Pagani Design lists the weight at 134g. Water resistance is 100 meters, 10 bar, which covers swimming and a shower and nothing a diver would call serious. Lug to lug goes unpublished. For a watch you will judge on the wrist, that is the one gap I would want filled before ordering.

Inside is a quartz chronograph, which the page names two ways: Japanese VK63, and Miyota 0S20. I would not read much into the duplicate naming, but I would note that Pagani Design does not publish accuracy or battery life, so those stay blank here. Quartz is the right call at this money. It keeps the chronograph reliable, it keeps the thickness at 12mm, and it explains how a ceramic bezel fits in the price at all. What you give up is any mechanical charm, and the pleasure of a pusher with a column wheel behind it.

The comparison that matters is the PD-1701 in the same catalog: the PD-1701 runs the same idea at about $152 (see its entry). I would take this one for the lower price and the ceramic bezel. If you want a mechanical movement and a story, spend more: the Seagull 1963 is the move, and it costs several times as much.
