Atlas notes

Pie-pan dials and crosshairs are what make a Constellation look like a Constellation, and Baltany has copied the look at 36mm for $340. The proportions are the honest part: 44mm lug to lug and 9.7mm thick including the glass, which is slim for an automatic at any price.

Baltany’s product page names a Miyota 9015, 28,800 vph, 42 hours of reserve, and a domed sapphire crystal with AR coating. The maker’s separate blog post says the 9015 hacks and hand-winds. The product page itself is silent on that, so I have attributed it to the post. I would still rather see it on the spec sheet.

Now the costs. Water resistance is 50m, so this is a watch for rain and handwashing, not a swim. The only listed strap is leather on an 18mm lug width the page never states directly (I have taken the supplied strap width). No bracelet means no fallback if you hate the strap. And Baltany does not say when the model launched.

My judgment: the case is better than the price suggests and the movement is the dependable 9015, not a showpiece. The Orient Bambino 38 costs far less and the Tissot Gentleman costs more and brings a service network. If the pie-pan face is the thing you want, this is worth a look. If it is only a dress watch you want, buy the Orient and keep the difference.
